Jordan Taylor
Speaker, Author and Artist

I am Jordan Taylor, the creator and host of the upcoming podcast #LegallyBlack. My journey into the world of media began with an unexpected opportunity when my mother won tickets to be a special guest on Pastor Joel Olsteen's Sirius XM show in 2014. Featured to ask a question during the taping, I was encouraged by someone in the audience to pursue radio. That same day, I encountered my childhood role model, Hip-Hop news anchor Sway Calloway, which solidified my passion for public speaking, particularly on feminist issues in media and film.

As a proud alumna of Dartmouth College, where I first explored public speaking, I am on track to graduate with a Master of Science in Management from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in December 2024. My academic journey includes taking courses through Harvard Business School, earning certificates in Disruptive Strategy and Economics, Business Analytics, and Accounting, alongside specialized training in leadership and decision-making from the Harvard Extension School.

I am also a digital illustrator and published political cartoonist with over 500 works, as well as a poet and author. My experience extends to public speaking at corporate events and conferences, where I engage audiences with my unique insights and compelling narratives. I have been featured in the Emmy-winning series "Skin Deep," Elite Daily, Cater News, the New Haven Register, and NowThis Media. With a commitment to amplifying voices on crucial social topics, I invite you to connect with me for impactful discussions and events that inspire change and promote understanding.
